Ed Greenhalgh is an Australian team owner and test driver for Alpha Motorsports. He started his GPGSL career in Season 1 as a race driver for Team Shadow.
Driving[]
Team Shadow Subaru (Seasons 1-5)[]
Greenhalgh drove for Team Shadow Subaru in the first five series of the GPGSL. Over this time, he scored five wins, and helped the team to two Constructors Championships.
Aston Martin Racing (Seasons 6-8)[]
He joined Aston Martin Racing for Season 6. After a slow start to the season, with no podiums in the first 6 races, Greenhalgh then went on an unprecedented run in GPGSL history with 8 wins in the next 10 races, including 5 in a row. This allowed Greenhalgh to wrap up his first title at Spa-Francorchamps, as well as helping the team to win the Constructors Championship. Greenhalgh followed this with two more titles in Season 7 and Season 8, becoming the series' first three-time champion.
Martini Paddock Racing (Seasons 9-10)[]
For Season 9, Greenhalgh switched to Martini Paddock Racing. Alongside Charrel Jalving, he delivered the team their first Constructors' Championship, and finished 2nd in the Drivers' Championship after a close battle with Joseph Gilson. Ahead of Season 10, Greenhalgh announced he would retire from the series at the conclusion of the season.
Team Ownership[]
Greenhalgh owned Alpha Motorsports throughout Seasons 1-4, leading the team to one win. Due to a change in rules forbidding race drivers from simultaneously owning teams, Greenhalgh passed on the team to Stefan van Renselaar, who rebranded the team as Alpha Racing Team for Season 5.
